Superman & Lois star Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch (Lois Lane) has shared the title of the series finale in an Instagram post as filming has begun for the final episode.

The series finale will be called “It Went By So Fast” and it is written by showrunners Brent Fletcher and Todd Helbing. As KryptonSite revealed a few weeks ago, the finale director is Gregory Smith. Filming for Season 4 is expected to continue for the next week. In many ways, “It Went By So Fast” is a perfect title for a the final episode of this TV series, as it feels like just yesterday Superman & Lois premiered on The CW.

“Tried to take a normal ‘First day of filming the #SupermanAndLois series finale!’ selfie, but quickly ended up in tears,” she captioned her post. “What a beautiful ride this has been. So grateful. Especially to our crew – this final season has been tough ph”ysically and emotionally on everyone and I see you and how hard you are working and I am so appreciative of you all.”

Alex Garfin, who plays her son Jordan on Superman & Lois, had a quote to add. “The real Superman was the Lois we made along the way,” he commented. Other comments of support came from Arrowverse favorites such as Candice Patton (The Flash’s Iris) and Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin from The Flash).

Tayler Buck has also revealed on social media that she’s filming, so we can expect to see her in the series finale. The speculation is that most if not all of the cast that are no longer series regulars will be back for the final episode, though this is not officially confirmed.

We were starting to think it wasn’t going to happen, but now, online listings show that Superman & Lois: The Complete Third Season is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on June 11, 2024… and you can pre-order yours now and support KryptonSite in the process! We do not yet have a press release, but we see there are unfortunately no extras listed on the packaging for the set. All 13 episodes of Superman & Lois Season 3 will be on the set, though. Season three of SUPERMAN & LOIS opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough. Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Filming for the series finale of Superman & Lois is getting very close, and KryptonSite has learned that Gregory Smith will be directing the final episode. Smith is one of the show’s most prolific directors, helming such popular episodes as “A Brief Remembrance In Between Cataclysmic Events,” “What Lies Beneath,” “Waiting For Superman,” “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner,” “What Kills You Only Makes You Stronger,” among others. He is also the director of the Season 4 premiere “The End & The Beginning” when the show returns this Fall.

Season 4 wraps on April 22, and learning this would confirm that – unless episodes are shot out of sequence – Michael Cudlitz directed Episode 408 and Jai Jamison is probably currently shooting Episode 409. Superman & Lois Season 4 will consist of only 10 episodes.
