2016 KryptonSite Awards: Pick The Best Guest Star Of Supergirl Season 1!

Fans are invited to pick the Best Guest Star of Supergirl Season 1 for this year’s KryptonSite Awards.

Ever since 2002, KryptonSite has hosted the annual “KryptonSite Awards,” which for years honored the best and worst of the TV series Smallville. Our last Smallville-related Awards happened in 2012 when we honored the entire series.

Now that a new Super-show has begun with Supergirl, we started to honor the best and worst of the Maid of Might’s first season, and then we got a bit… distracted. But we’re back, and we’re going to finish this whole process before Supergirl returns on October 10.

This is going to be the last category in this year’s Awards before we start adding everything together and revealing the results very soon.

The new category is Best Guest Star. You’ll notice that Dean Cain, Laura Vandervoort, and Helen Slater are not on the list… that’s because they were already up for Favorite Super Guest considering their roles in Kryptonian TV and movie history, so if you want to pick them, go there. If there is someone else that you feel is missing, though, please write in your choices below… there were a lot of great actors who guested on Supergirl last year and it’s difficult to narrow things down to a manageable list. (Also, write-ins are helpful because we had to submit this poll twice, and some of the choices dropped off, so it might be best to know so we can re-add them.)

I was totally going to vote for Barry until I saw that Jenna and Laura were also options under this category

Voted for Laura Benanti, she was great as Astra/Alura.
I see the actors for young Kara and Cat Grant’s son are included but not the actress that played young Alex. She was really great in the flashbacks, her name is Jordan Mazarati.

  Jordan Mazarati was great, which is why there was a write-in section to make suggestions. I couldn’t list every guest star that appeared in the history of the show, sadly.

Sadly, as we got a late start this year there are fewer categories than usual… we’ll try to remedy that with next year’s Awards.

This is it. The last category of this year’s annual KryptonSite Awards – honoring the best and not-so-best of the recent Supergirl season.

As always, fans of any show have opinions. This is the chance for those fans to recognize the things they did (or didn’t) like this past year. Because of the late start, we may not have as many categories as before, but hopefully this can still be fun!

Some housekeeping notes can be found here.

Our third category for this year is Best Pairing. Some of these are romantic, some of these you might want to be romantic, another might be a mentor/mentee relationship, some may be family relationships, and another might be a good old fashioned hero and sidekick. Whatever it is, you can pick your favorite… and if your favorite pairing is not listed, you can write one in.

Our third category for this year is Best Guest Star. If there’s a guest star you feel was overlooked that should have been included as a choice, there’s a write-in section. Series regulars (names in the opening titles) were already voted on — if you’d like to vote in that category, you can vote in previous categories here.
