Elizabeth Tulloch On The Legacy Of Lois Lane

Elizabeth Tulloch talked about her excitement to be playing Lois Lane in an Instagram post.

Earlier today, it was announced that Elizabeth Tulloch will be playing the role of Lois Lane in this year’s Arrowverse crossover airing in December, opposite Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman.

On her Instagram page, Tulloch expressed her excitement and gratitude for getting the role, which will also allow her to work with her friend, The Flash’s Danielle Panabaker. In the post, she also talked about why Lois Lane is such a great role.

“When I started acting, one of my teachers asked me to watch the screen tests for the role of Lois Lane for 1978’s Superman. All of the actresses were terrific, but it was always clear to me why Margot Kidder won the role: she seemed lit from within, full of joie de vivre. Now, at a time when the noble profession of journalism feels under siege, it’s a privilege to join the club of actresses who have played the dogged reporter,” she wrote.

“As far back as 1938 when she first appeared in Action Comics #1, Lois Lane has defied and subverted society’s expectations of how women should behave. She was portrayed as opinionated, inquisitive, and an unapologetically badass career woman at a time when many representations of women leaned more towards meek and demure. One of the reasons the character has remained so compelling for the last 80 years is that she has all these formidable, strong-willed qualities, but she’s also vulnerable, romantic, and feminine. A truly modern woman,” she continued.

Look for Elizabeth Tulloch’s debut as Lois this December on The CW.

There’s even a comparing of notes about head-shaving and the audition process, and Michael enthusiastically cheered Hoult on.

Nicholas Hoult also asked Rosenbaum about his approach to Lex. “There’s a lot of things I related to the character,” Michael said, pointing to his own childhood. James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy Movie Gets A New Title, “S” Reveal

James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy film has gotten a new title and a reveal of the “S” for the movie.

James Gunn has revealed the new look for Superman’s “S” as principal photography of the new Superman film starts today (coincidentally, Superman’s birthday). He also revealed something new on his Instagram post:

“When I finished the first draft of the script, I called the film Superman: Legacy. By the time I locked the final draft, it was clear the title was SUPERMAN. Making our way to you July 2025,” he posted.

Considering a lot of the promotional material for the Christopher Reeve Superman film was labeled “Superman: The Movie,” this might be one of the first times that simply “Superman” has been the title for anything in live action. The new logo, by the way, is a bit like the one Alex Ross designed for the iconic Kingdom Come miniseries in 1996. That crest was later adapted into Brandon Routh’s suit for the Crisis on Infinite Earths TV event.

Superman, starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
