Continuing our string of interviews from this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, today we post an interview with another of our favorites: Andrew Kreisberg, one of the talented forces behind Arrow, Flash and that Booster Gold Syfy pilot that we still wish would get made.
Kreisberg is also an executive producer that’s part of Team Supergirl, and here’s what he had to say about what separates it from some of those other projects:
“Part of the mantra of Flash was heart, humor, and spectacle, and I think this show has that. It’s certainly much more akin to Flash tonally, but I think that it’s a little bit more grown up in some respects, and there’s a whole aspect of the show – this sort of workplace comedy – which we’ve never really tried before in any other show,” he said, before talking about how Kara’s journey is different from Barry Allen’s.
You can watch the video below, where, among other things, he talks about how great it is to land Helen Slater for the series, and what might be coming up for the Danvers (played by former Supergirl Slater and former Superman Dean Cain). Additionally, he talks about whether the show will be “villains of the week” or serialized, how important it is that Kara reveals herself to others right away, and more. Enjoy, and be sure to follow @KryptonSite on Twitter for updates when we post more!
