Kyle
Gallner Speeds Into New Wes Craven Movie Special
thanks to: Moviehole
Director
Wes Craven must really like Smallville actors who have
once played The Flash.
Michael
Rosenbaum (Lex) is in Craven's newest film, "Cursed,"
which is due in theaters on February 25. Michael, of course,
is also the voice of Wally West/The Flash in the Cartoon Network's
animated Justice League.
Now
it's Kyle Gallner's turn. After playing Bart Allen in
one of the best comics-inspired episodes of Smallville's
history, "Run," Kyle has now been cast in Craven's
next project, a Dreamworks film called "RedEye." Rachel
McAdams (Mean Girls) and Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins)
also star in the film, which Moviehole
says is "about a woman held captive by a stranger on an
airliner who threatens to kill her father unless she helps him
arrange the assassination of a wealthy businessman."
Congratulations
to Kyle Gallner on his new role, but let's hope this
doesn't mean he'd be too busy for a return appearance in Smallville
by season's end. (TPTB - You're making one for us, right?)

Smallville's
Ladies Make Femme Fatales' Hot List Kristin
Kreuk (Lana) is the cover feature and has ranked #1 among
2004's Sexiest Women in Femme Fatales' January 2005 issue.
But that's not all! Erica Durance (Lois) and Allison
Mack (Chloe) also both made Femme Fatales' list!
Congratulations to all three of them!
Also,
proving that you don't stop being sexy when you're over 40,
Erica's predecessor at playing Lois Lane, Teri Hatcher (Lois
& Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), also made
the list.
The
latest Femme Fatales is now hitting newsstands.
Erica
Durance On The Future Of Lois Scifipulse.net
has gathered some material from issue #125 of Dreamwatch
magazine, now available in the UK and coming soon to the U.S.
In the interview, Erica Durance is asked whether or not she'd
like to return for Smallville's fifth season.
I
would be interested in coming back, of course, said Durance.
That would be wonderful, to be able to be on this show
for another season. I think they're working on that right now
and deciding how much of next season Lois might be back and
where they could take the character. I know they'd love to bring
her back, but there's the film coming up and there are all sorts
of things in the upper echelons that I don't know reasons for,
but I'll probably know what's happening for in next couple of
months.
Let's
hope the movie doesn't screw this up, too. Thanks to
Ian at Scifipulse
for the tip!

A
Very Big Spoiler For The Holidays!
Now,
you all know that we here at KryptonSite love you all year,
and try to bring you as many good spoilers as we possibly can.
Well,
one of the biggest of all just leaked out. It's a BIG spoiler...
involving someone major finding out Clark's secret!
A
Little Bit Of Smallville In Wizard #160 Special
thanks to: Jake
Getting
us hyped up five months early, the latest issue of Wizard
magazine (the best-selling publication about comics) offers
a tease of what to expect in Smallville's fourth season
finale, which won't be airing until May. Click
here for the spoilery details.
There's
also a feature on comic pros' reaction to the casting of Brandon
Routh as the movie Superman. More details to come, but it seems
painter extraordinaire Alex Ross stands by the actor
who he painted for a TV Guide cover and a recent piece
also featuring former Superman Chris Reeve - Tom Welling
was his choice. Tom's co-star Erica Durance also would
have liked to have seen her "Clark" on the big screen.
Look
for Green Lantern's fist, Keanu Reeves as John Constantine,
or a montage of characters on this special issue's cover. Wizard
#160 also features the announcement of a new comic book series
to be written by Smallville's Jeph Loeb - Supergirl,
spinning off from the recent hit Superman/Batman story
arc. Supergirl will be drawn by Ian Churchill. There's
also another project listed that Jeph has been rumored to be
attached to; but since Wizard's not saying it for sure,
we'll save that announcement for later. Whatever it is involves
an artist Loeb seems to work very well with...

'Flash'
Director Goyer Talks About Sam Jones III Special
thanks to: Moviehole
David
Goyer, the man who wrote and directed "Blade: Trinity"
and is soon to bring "The Flash" to the big screen,
mentioned his respect for Sam Jones III (Pete Ross) in
a recent interview at Moviehole.net.
The
interview mentions that Goyer wanted to use Sam for a role in
"Blade: Trinity" but he was unavailable. You can read
the interview by clicking

perspective and there are two sides to every story.

"Aunt
Nell" Is Now On The Web
We
may not have seen her on Smallville since the series'
second season, but that doesn't keep Lana's Aunt Nell, aka Sarah-Jane
Redmond, off of the Web.
Her
official site, SarahJaneRedmond.com,
has recently launched. The site also tells about a stage appearance
that Ms. Redmond is currently participating in.
And
also, those of you want to see some of Redmond's best work should
check out the DVD's of Seasons
1 and 2
of Millennium,
where she played a VERY spooky character by the name of Lucy
Butler.
Special
thanks to Brig. Lethbridge-Stuart for the tip.
ABC
Family January Schedule!
Repeats
of Smallville return to the ABC Family cable station
later this month.
We
now have available for you the schedule of episodes for January,
as ABC Family flies into the series' third season.
Blade:
Trinity's David Goyer Takes On The Flash
Hopes
for a spin-off series featuring Kyle Gallner as Bart Allen may
be totally quashed as the Warner Bros. movie division has claimed
another DC Comics hero as their own.
David
Goyer, who wrote the films "Batman Begins" and
"Blade: Trinity," will take on the Fastest Man Alive,
the Flash, as his next project. He will write, produce, and
direct. "'Flash' is my favorite of the properties,"
Goyer told Variety. "I think the character of the
Flash, who moves faster than the speed of light, opens itself
up to rich cinematic and story ideas."
Blade:
Trinity's Ryan Reynolds has expressed interest in playing
the character. We'll post more updates at TheFlashSite
@ KryptonSite as they become available.
As
for why is this posted here? Well, the Flash (Bart) did appear
in the episode "Run," and the animated version of
the Flash in the Cartoon Network's Justice League series is
voiced by Michael Rosenbaum.

Kristin
Kreuk Speaks At TV Guide Online Kristin
Kreuk was interviewed this week at TV
Guide Online. She talked about the show and her being pleased
with the new directions the Lana character has been taking.
Here's a sample:
"I've
had so much fun [this season]," Kreuk smiles. "Jensen
is wonderful. To be in your character and laugh and to have
that kind of relationship with another person on the show has
been so lovely. I don't think Lana and Clark have ever really
laughed together. They have had this intense, serious relationship,
and to have another level is just so fun."
Kristin
also talks about her character's deviation from the color pink.
To read the full interview, click
here. Thanks to everyone who let us know!
"Recruit"
Finds Its "Coop" Colby
Johannson will be playing "Coop" in the 13th episode
of the new season, which is titled "Recruit."
Johannson's
other roles include episodes of SciFi's new Battlestar Galactica,
and also an episode of The Mountain and the movie
"Freddy vs. Jason." He often plays "Football
Player" so the role shouldn't be too bad of a stretch for
him.
"Pariah"
Guest!
An
actor named Nick Pernisco will be playing the role of
"Jack Garner" in the episode "Pariah," which
is scheduled for Feb. 2.
Recent
credits for Mr. Pernisco include the film "Melinda and
Melinda" and an episode of Deadwood.
Despite
the name, the character is probably not related to crazy
Dr. Garner from Summerholt. :-)

Kreuk's "Legend Of Earthsea" Premieres!
The
SciFi Channel miniseries "The Legend of Earthsea,"
featuring Kristin Kreuk (Lana) and two-time Smallville
guest star Shawn Ashmore ("Eric Summers"),
premiered on Monday, December 13, at 9PM.
The
miniseries spanned over two nights. Check your local listings
for exact times and possible re-airings.
Kristin
Kreuk in Femme Fatales and CFQ Special
thanks to: CFQ
Kristin
Kreuk (Lana) is featured in two new magazines that you will
soon be able to find on newsstands everywhere.
Kristin
is in the December 2004 issue of Femme Fatales magazine where
she talks about Smallville in addition to her Earthsea
miniseries, which premieres tonight.
She
talks about becoming involved with a mythology that already
has a fan base, both with the miniseries and with Smallville,
and reveals that her sister is a big fan of the 'Earthsea'
series of novels. She also talks about her Earthsea co-star
Shawn Ashmore, who appeared on two episodes of Smallville
though the two of them hadn't had the opportunity before to
work together. "Everyone on Smallville loves him,
loves him to bits," she told Femme Fatales' Sean
Jordan.
The
Kreuk feature in Femme Fatales clocks in at five pages
and is filled with some nice photos from both projects. Meanwhile,
over in the December/January CFQ, Kristin talks about her role
on Earthsea and talks about the evolution of Lana Lang.
Both
issues should be on newsstands soon if they are not already.
CFQ and Femme Fatales will both soon be relaunching
their websites; for more information on them, click
here. Also keep an eye out early in 2005 for a Kristin Kreuk
appearance on Femme Fatales' cover as she has been named
one of the "50 Sexy" women for the year 2004.

Lois
Lane in Season 5? Special
thanks to: VisionGirl
The
latest Entertainment Weekly has a feature on Breakout
Stars of 2004 with a sidebar on "Future Breakouts."
Erica Durance (Lois) was listed, and the bit featured
some interesting information about her character's future...
A
Movie For The Flash?
Another
concept that would have made a great TV series might be heading
to the movie theaters soon.
Both
"Blade: Trinity" director David Goyer (who also wrote
next year's comic-related film "Batman Begins") and
star Ryan Reynolds (who, with Jessica Biel, made the film worth
watching, because Wesley Snipes sure didn't cut it) are interested
in bringing the Wally West version of the Flash to the big screen.
Of
course, a Flash movie would probably mean we'd never get a TV
series for Bart, who was introduced in the Smallville
episode "Run." We'll keep you updated.

Kreuk Talks Season 4, Hints About The Future Kristin
Kreuk (Lana) was recently interviewed at the SciFi.com website
where she talked about new changes in Smallville as well as
giving some hints as to what to expect in the series' future.
Here's a brief teaser, regarding what the deal is with Lana's
tattoo (potential spoiler warning!):
"It's
all convoluted, but they're going to flesh out that storyline
and see how it connects to the mythology and to Superman and
to these crystals. And that will eventually lead to ... well,
that's the secret."

Speaks: MediasharX Interviews Eric Johnson
Kristin
Kreuk isn't the only Smallville actor soon to show up
on the SciFi Channel.
Eric
Johnson (Whitney) has a new SciFi movie titled "Anonymous
Rex" which premieres on the cable channel on Saturday,
December 4. Just in time for his new movie, Dee over at MediasharX.com
has done an extensive interview with him, and, of course, Smallville
has mentioned. He talks about the many roles he auditioned for
(Lex? Clark? Chloe?), fan reaction to his character, upcoming
projects, returning for "Facade," and more. Here's
a brief sample:
"The
few, the proud, the Whitney fans. I appreciated it a lot.
I knew there were legions of people cheering the death of
Whitney, which was also... you know, as long as people are
reacting, I think I'm doing my job. And so when they were
cheering my death, that was fine with me too. The loyal Whitney
fans out there, they have a special place in my heart. They
saw his true colors when no one else would."
"The
citizens of Smallville relive their worst nightmares, but
fortunately my own-that this would be another low in this
up-and-down season-wasn't realized."
