We thought our source was going to hold out on us, but no... KryptonSite now has an early look at the titles for episodes in Smallville Season 9!!!!

Take a look at the titles - Spoiler Warning!

zatanna serinda swanMichael Rosenbaum Returns As A Series Regular For Season 9!
In news that surprised everyone, sources from Smallville have confirmed exclusively for KryptonSite that Michael Rosenbaum has signed a deal to appear in 12 of the 22 episodes of Season Nine.

Michael's new contract will, however, come with some caveats: It is said that the new deal will allow Lex to wear wigs so Michael will not have to shave his head. Additionally, it has been said that a majority of Michael's episodes will air back to back rather than spread throughout the season.

The 2009-2010 season will be a busy one for Rosenbaum - he's also signed a sitcom deal, and it is said Smallville producers will be working around his sitcom schedule to accomodate his scenes up in Vancouver.

Aside from Michael, Tom Welling is the only actor confirmed as signed for Season 9, despite previous rumors.

All of the talk of deaths and returning guest heroes for the Smallville season finale tended to overlook the return of a fan favorite.

justin hartley shirtlessJustin Hartley Ditches Smallville For Melrose Place
Smallville executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer have departed the series, and with them they are taking one of the show's series regulars.

A deal has recently been made for Justin Hartley - better known to Smallville fans as Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow - to hang up the green tights in favor of more shirtless scenes, as he has been quietly added to the cast of The CW's upcoming Melrose reinvention.

Formal announcements from The CW have not been made, likely to cover up the possibility that Hartley's character may die in the Season 8 Smallville finale on May 14.

We will post more details as they become available.

Season 9 of Smallville might not be the end for DC Comics properties on television.

We're hearing some strong buzz that The CW is preparing a Justice League-related series to premiere at midseason to be paired with their new vampire series, The Vampire Diaries. The initial order is for only six episodes, but if things should be a hit, there will be more to come later.

The series - which may not be called Justice League so as to not conflict with Warner Bros. movie plans - will star Phil Morris and Serinda Swan with a series of rotating guest stars, a la Justice League Unlimited or Mission: Impossible. Negotiations are still underway to bring a third regular Leaguer into the fold. Sadly, Alaina Huffman, who wowed audiences as the Black Canary, is unable to make her return due to commitments to Stargate Universe, and Justin Hartley is notably absent, likely due to his connection with The CW's new Melrose Place.

bbc smallvilleThe BBC Announces Plans To Do Their Own Version Of Smallville
Following the recent success of Law & Order: UK, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has announced plans to unveil their own version of Smallville in late 2009.

The remake's cast has already been announced, and cast in the lead role of Clark Kent is an actor named Colin Morgan, who appeared in the Doctor Who episode "Midnight" last year. Also in the cast - Bradley James as Lex Luthor, Katie McGrath as Lana Lang, Angel Coulby as Chloe Sullivan, and - in a big casting coup - the role of Lionel will be played by none other than Buffy's Giles, Anthony Stewart Head. The voice of Jor-El has also been announced, as actor John Hurt has been recruited. Richard Wilson (One Foot In The Grave) plays Jonathan Kent.

A promotional image has been released from the production, which brings to question some of the announced casting choices, as it appears Wilson is Lionel and Head will be playing Jonathan Kent. When the show premieres, we will know for sure. Thanks to Chiriru for the image.

Gough & Millar Live The Suite Life
Continuing their deal with Disney which recently brought us the Miley Cyrus-led Hannah Montana feature film, Smallville creators Alfred Gough & Miles Millar have been tapped to be the writers of a movie based on the Disney Channel television series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

Plot details are currently unknown, but rumor has it that the plot involves the fat twin doing something funny while the skinny twin does something serious.

RUMOR: Bruce Wayne Series To Be Pitched To A Bigger Network?
While Smallville's current producers are said to be planning for a series of some of Clark's super-friends, a project from ten years ago may be coming back to the surface at another network.

Industry sources tell us that a "young Bruce Wayne before he is Batman" series may again be on the table, and it may be the REAL reason why last year's Graysons pitch was nixed. Some "big names" are said to be attached, but the bigger news is that it is not in contention for The CW Network, but rather "one of the Big Four."

It is said that the series, Gotham, will "not conflict with the movies" but, like Smallville, it will exist "in its own world." Unfortunately, it sounds like there will also be no connection to the Smallville universe.

The only legible connection we can find for proof that this is more than talk is this internet posting purported to be from one of the series' writers. Stay tuned...
