Superman & Lois Casting: Degrassi Alum Stacey Farber To Recur As “Leslie Larr”

KryptonSite has learned that Degrassi alum Stacey Farber will be playing the recurring role of “Leslie Larr” on The CW’s Superman & Lois TV series.

KryptonSite has received studio confirmation that Degrassi: The Next Generation fan favorite Stacey Farber has been cast on Superman & Lois in the recurring role of “Leslie Larr,” and the official character description might reveal some spoilers for what we can expect on the show.

Leslie is described as “the right hand to one of the most influential people on the planet, she’s gone from a young, idealistic dreamer to a hardened, world-worn dream killer.” It is also noted that she is “athletic, strong… and often times heartless.” There isn’t a Leslie Larr in the comic books, but there was a “Lesla-Lar” character in Pre-Crisis DC Comics stories who was a foe of Supergirl’s who came from Kandor.

Stacey Farber is best known internationally for her role as “Ellie Nash” on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Her character was one of the show’s most prominent and beloved characters at the height of the show’s popularity abroad. Beyond the United States and Canada, all of Stacey’s Degrassi episodes continue to air on TV and online in over 140 countries. Post-Degrassi, Farber appeared in many popular series including Grace and Frankie (Netflix), Schitt’s Creek (Pop TV/CBC), Chicago Justice (NBC), The Brave (NBC), Ryan Hanson Solves Crimes on TV (YouTube Red), Animal Kingdom (TNT), and UnReal (Lifetime).

She also starred in the half-hour comedy 18 to Life which aired on The CW (and also starred Supergirl’s Jesse Rath!) in addition to CBC as well as the medical drama Saving Hope which starred Smallville’s “Lois Lane” Erica Durance. Most recently, Stacey was a series lead on CBC’s Diggstown.

Splitting her time between Los Angeles and Vancouver, Stacey Farber is represented by A3 Artists Agency, The Characters Talent Agency and Silver Lining Entertainment.

We do not know how many episodes of Superman & Lois Season 1 Stacey Farber will be appearing in, but we do hear she will be making her first appearance in the series’ second episode (episode title still unknown at this time). Superman & Lois is scheduled to premiere in January 2021 on The CW.

That’s so cool! I’ve just updated the article to mention that. I had no idea – but I’m so glad Stacey will be on Superman & Lois. Really loved her on Degrassi.

I understand this is a Supergirl villain from the comics. I wonder if she will also appear in Supergirl for a possible crossover.

Flash Cast Member To Appear In The Superman & Lois Finale

An actor from The Flash has announced that he has a role in the Superman & Lois series finale.

Published

on

The Flash’s Tom Cavanagh is not finished appearing in the Arrowverse (or Arrowverse-adjacent) shows, as he revealed this weekend at the FAN EXPO Philadelphia event on May 4 that he will be playing a role in the Superman & Lois series finale.

In the panel, Cavanagh explained how he preferred directing premieres or finales and had long grown a trust with showrunner Todd Helbing that he could always deliver, dating back to The Flash’s 100th episode which he directed. Since the Superman & Lois Season 4 finale is being directed by Gregory Smith, Cavanagh wasn’t able to do the finale this year, but instead, Helbing suggested that he appears in front of the camera.

“The finale for ‘Superman & Lois’ was taken up already, and so I said, ‘Well, I’m happy to not do it,’ which is when Todd was like ‘Well, would you play a role?’ And so that’s coming up, for those of you that watch ‘Superman & Lois’ — something that I’m happy to have done,” Cavanagh explained at the panel.

The question now, of course, is who will Tom Cavanagh be playing? Harrison Wells or a variation of him? Eobard Thawne? Or, could it be someone entirely new… after all, Superman & Lois is not set in the same part of the multiverse. Or, he said “a role” – could it be something behind the scenes, and that to assume it’s an acting role could be a jump to conclusions. Either way, chances are good we won’t find out for sure until Superman & Lois Season 4 starts airing this Fall on The CW. For now, though, it might be fun to speculate. Superman & Lois has officially wrapped filming, and this Fall, those who have loved the show will get to see the fourth and final season on our TV screens. Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch has been reflecting on her time as Lois and has guided fandom through her experience all throughout, and this morning, she posted about her gratitude to have been able to embody an icon like Lois. She also took the time to welcome and encourage Rachel Brosnahan who will be our next Lois Lane in James Gunn’s Superman movie which comes out in 2025.

Here’s what she wrote:

How lucky am I, to have been able to inhabit this woman’s bones, and brain, and heart, for the last 4 years.

Lois Lane has been an icon for as long as Superman has because of her fierceness, her work ethic, her determination, her playfulness, her commitment to finding the truth no matter the cost.

Thank you to our creator Todd Helbing, co-showrunner Brent Fletcher, all of our writers and producers and post-production team, our incredible VFX department. Thank you @gberlanti and Sarah Schechter @50shadesofgabay and everyone else at Berlanti Productions, everyone at DC Comics, @cdflix @baptv10, Lisa Lewis and everyone else at @warnerbrostv , Mark Pedowitz and @thecw, and to our phenomenal casting director @davidrapaport for telling everyone “This is your Lois” and to @jessicaqueller and @rrtvwriter for seeing and believing it. And to our on-set crew: #SupermanAndLois was a big, beautiful, epic show and it wouldn’t have happened without each and every one of you. Thank you thank you thank you. I already miss you all so much.

Thank you to our wonderfully amazing cast – but mostly to @tylerhoechlin. My Superman. I am so grateful for your talent, your work ethic, and your commitment to making me laugh. I wish the best of luck to @jamesgunn and the rest of his cast and crew, and especially to @rachelbrosnahan – I’m sure you will be a wonderful Lois and I can’t wait to see what you do with the role. Have so much fun – I know I did.
