Supergirl Season 4: New “Fallout” Still

The CW will be premiering the fifth season of Supergirl on Sunday, October 14, and Variety has posted a new official promo image as well as some quotes from the show’s Executive Producers.

Supergirl Season 5 will start with “Fallout” and the new picture features Melissa Benoist as Supergirl.

“This season, we’re telling allegorical stories about real life issues that are incredibly topical and current. We want to explore how Supergirl can face the challenges that many of us are facing, so that she can inspire us to stand up against these types of injustices, too. Also, because Kara is a reporter, she’ll be reporting on many of the issues that our country is facing. We’ll be able to tackle issues of the press in this way and hopefully tell stories, which show how important a fair and free press is to democracy,” EPs Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller say, confirming that, yes, it appears Supergirl will continue to be political.

You can see the new photo below; hopefully we’ll have more soon!
