Supergirl Season 3 Filming Begins This Week

Filming for Supergirl’s third season begins this week in Vancouver.

Directing the series premiere is Jesse Warn who previously helmed the Season 1 episode “Red Faced.” The action begins on Thursday, July 6 and filming is expected to continue through to the end of April 2018 — April 28, to be exact, if Vancouver production charts are to be believed as accurate.

Season 3 of Supergirl will star Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Mechad Brooks as James Olsen, Jeremy Jordan as “Winn” Schott, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, and David Harewood as Hank  Henshaw. Floriana Lima is said to continue to recur as Maggie Sawyer although she is no longer a series regular; the fate of Chris Wood’s Mon-El may be a spoiler. Odette Annable has been cast as Season 3 villain Reign, who has no relation to the CW series of the same name.

Supergirl Season 3 premieres Monday, October 9 on The CW.
