Supergirl Casts Brainiac 5

Only a few days after we found out that Brainiac is coming to Super-prequel Krypton, TV Line has news today that actor Jesse Rath (Defiance) will be appearing as Brainiac 5 on Supergirl!

Here’s how the show’s version of the character is described, and apparently like the comics, he and Supergirl take a liking to one another!

Half computer, half organic life and boasting a 12-level intellect, Brainiac 5 is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes who travels to National City from the 31st Century to help Supergirl and the DEO battle Reign, the villain that L-Corp CEO Samantha Arias (played by Odette Annable) is on track to becoming.

Rath will make his first recurring appearance on Supergirl in the season’s 10th episode “Legion of Super-Heroes.” Yes, you read that title correctly. Sounds like the Legion of Super-Heroes are coming to the show!
