Supergirl: Chyler Leigh Discusses The End Of “Sanvers”

Sometimes, good things come to an end, and today, the groundbreaking “Sanvers” romance between Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) came to a finish.

“It’s a heavy episode,” Chyler Leigh told us this morning on the Vancouver set of Supergirl. “There’s no way around that; just say what it is. It is a breakup, and honestly in a lot of ways, it felt like a genuine breakup. I love Floriana to pieces. She’s amazing, and what we were able to do together for the community, but also for just our friendship and really being able to establish such strong characters, I think that goes beyond how many episodes we can get her. I’m incredibly grateful for that,” she reflected.

When speaking with a group of journalists, Chyler also discussed the way that director Kevin Smith had her and Lima rehearsing for the scene, and had a special and heartfelt message for the fans who were so inspired by “Sanvers.” You can see some video below.
