Krypton Intel From TV Guide Magazine’s Comic-Con Issue

The Comic-Con issue of TV Guide Magazine is now available, and there’s a half-page feature about Krypton within!

“We’re interested in the earlier age of Krypton, the age before the decay that [Superman’s father] Jor-El was fighting against,” creator/EP David S. Goyer told TV Guide’s Jim Halterman. Goyer describes Cameron Cuffe’s Seg-El as “a revolutionary character” who pushes against the aggressive Kryptonian culture.

In spoiler territory, it is said in the interview that Seg-El will have a Romeo and Juliet like romance with Lyta Zod (Georgina Campbell) who is, of course, the grandmother of Superman enemy Zod.

Goyer also spoke of the show’s unique and original world and the actors who are cast within. “I took a cue from Game of Thrones,” Goyer said. “We wanted to present a really different and unique world. We wanted to make a lot of talent discoveries.”

Krypton premieres in 2018 on Syfy. You can read more about the project here.
