Tyler Hoechlin & Elizabeth Tulloch Preview Superman & Lois Getting “Closer” In The Season 3 Premiere

With the third season premiere of Superman & Lois only a few days away — airing Tuesday, March 14 on The CW — KryptonSite’s Craig Byrne was able to be part of a press junket and asked the dynamic duo of Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch about some of the fun we might be able to expect in the season opener, which is called “Closer.”

Tulloch pulled no punches and went right in with what we’ll be seeing Clark and Lois doing fairly early on. “We kind of are just getting busy. Really! That’s what’s happening,” she teases. “The fans wanted more of us having some closeness, and they’re gonna get it.”

“It’s exciting,” Tyler added. “I think the first episode of this season may be one of the most fun episodes we’ve that we’ve had. I think we found really fun, natural, organic ways to take a few themes and just make them really funny, in ways that felt real and true to the characters.”

Elizabeth revealed that for the first time, the cast and crew had a screening for the episode. “It was funny. People were laughing a lot. I was proud of it. I feel like it’s a really fun, awesome way to kick off the season,” she said, adding that “Tom Cavanagh did such a great job” as the director.

Later in the conversation, Hoechlin hinted that we might be seeing another fan-favorite Superman & Lois trope this year: The flashback. “I think I think one of the fun elements of the show is when we do get to flashback to other times, ‘and] I think the fans are also big supporters of that. So it would be safe to guess that maybe there might be some more elements of that,” he teased.
