Superman Returns: See Brandon Routh In The Kingdom Come Suit!

The Crisis on Infinite Earths news is hitting on a daily basis it seems, and today, The CW released a first look photo at Brandon Routh in costume as Superman in the crossover.

He doesn’t have his Superman Returns costume — instead, he’s wearing something inspired by Kingdom Come, the legendary series by Mark Waid and Alex Ross that gave us an older Superman with a darker emblem. The CW notes that Brandon is also playing Legends of Tomorrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom in the event which will air in December and January on the network.

And hey, again, for the first time in the “Arrowverse” at least – Superman is wearing his underpants on the outside!!!!

Current DC Comics shows on The CW including Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will all be involved in this year’s crossover which follows heroes all across the multiverse — and various series. You can see the photo below.
