As first speculated here on KryptonSite
back in November, a major aspect of the upcoming
Superman & Lois TV series does indeed happen in the “leafy little hamlet” of Smallville, as Chloe Sullivan once referred to it.
The new TV show, which already has a series order by The CW and will star Elizabeth Tulloch, Tyler Hoechlin, Jordan Elsass, and Alexander Garfin, will be the first time we’ll be seeing the town of Smallville on a regular basis since… well… Smallville, and considering that the Elseworlds TV crossover in 2018 used the Kent Farm location that was used in that original series, we’re assuming that, if it’s still available, the classic Kent Farm will be adopted by a new set of Kents this time around.
What brings the family back to town?
It’s already been revealed that Clark Kent has lost his job at the Daily Planet. A now-married Lana Lang doesn’t seem to be having her best situation. Possibly Martha will need for them to take over the farm. And maybe, just maybe… Kansas could be a good place to raise two possibly super powered teenagers.
We shall see what happens… but from our perspective, it seems that The CW is still always holding on to Smallville.
