Superman & Lois Episode 5 Director Revealed

KryptonSite has learned (via Vancouver production charts) who will be directing the fifth episode of Superman & Lois. The episode is said to be called “The Beacon” and the director for the fifth episode is Rachel Talalay.

Talalay is known for directing such features as Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare and the comics-inspired Tank Girl but in recent years she’s helmed a lot of genre television including The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Iron Fist, Doom Patrol, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Doctor Who. (She directed the brilliant last episode for Peter Capaldi “Twice Upon A Time” for Doctor Who, which was one of the modern era’s most amazing episodes.) She also recently roasted Stephen Amell on Twitter when he [jokingly] called Freddy’s Dead “borderline unwatchable.”

She joins previous directors Lee Toland Krieger, Gregory Smith, and James Bamford. Superman & Lois premieres Tuesday, February 23 on The CW.
