Supergirl’s Chyler Leigh Previews “Crisis on Earth-X”

The four-show DC TV crossover “Crisis on Earth-X” begins this Monday, November 27 on The CW, and while visiting the Vancouver sets of Supergirl we were part of a group that got to talk to Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers) about her participation in the event.

“I’m all over it,” she enthused about her role in the crossover. “Every day, 14-hour camera days, every single day for three and a half weeks. I was there every day.”

“We [Chyler and Melissa, who plays Kara/Supergirl] were the only two really that went over in the crossover,” Leigh continued. “We went there for Barry and Iris’ wedding; that was whole point for going there, the catalyst behind it. It’s a comic book [thing] that nothing is ever peachy and easy. Disaster ensues. It’s everybody banding together and figuring out strengths and weaknesses.”

There were so many costumes and superpowers in one place, and Chyler was really glad that she had a DEO outfit to fit in, and at some times, it resembled a high school reunion. And of course there’s some sisterly bonding involved.

“With Alex and Kara, it is very much a duke-it-out, like, ‘we’re here together. We’re in this.’ At certain moments, we’re fighting for each other, fighting to get to each other, and fighting together. You really get to see a lot of sides of everybody, and sides that you wouldn’t expect. It was a lot of fun. It was a lot of work, and exhausting, but it was a lot of fun,” she said.

And who does Alex interact with in the crossover?

“A lot of the moments that she had are with Oliver and Barry and Sara and a lot of the Legends cast,” she said. Sara, eh? Hmm….

“Crisis on Earth-X” begins Monday, November 27 on The CW. You can see some preview images from Part 1 here. Video from Chyler’s interview can be found below.
