A step back into our Smallville roots for a moment…

Tom Welling (Smallville’s Clark Kent) has been pretty picky about the roles he has taken since the show ended its 10-year run. One of the projects he has taken on is the film “The Choice,” which comes out February 5.

Last week, apparently when we were out of town, producer and author Nicholas Sparks Tweeted a behind-the-scenes photo of Tom filming “The Choice.” You can see that below:

What’s next for Mr. Welling after “The Choice?” Your guess is as good as ours… but we are sure he’s too old to play 13-year-old Clark Kent, at least.
