Smallville’s Clark Kent Traveled To This Date In “Homecoming”

Smallville’s 200th episode “Homecoming” is considered one of the best episodes of the entire series, a tribute to all that had come before. There also is an element of the episode that is especially relevant on this day – October 15, 2017.

In the episode, Clark Kent was shown the future, where he was “nerdy and uptight” and also the legend known as Superman. Our friends at Always Hold On To Smallville noted something else about “Homecoming” — October 15, 2017 is also the future day that Clark Kent traveled to in that Season 10 story.

In other words? The future is now, and Tom Welling still hasn’t been seen in a Superman costume. Still pretty incredible to know.

Also incredible? October 16 (tomorrow) marks 16 years since Smallville’s series premiere in 2001. That means if the show had pulled a Supernatural and had continued on as long as it could go, they’d be entering Season 17 and something like Episode 370 right about now.
