Possible Superman & Lois Character Details Surface

The website Primetimer has somehow gotten a hold of the Superman & Lois pilot script and among other things, they have details on some of the characters we will be seeing on the new show, beyond the ones previously reported here at KryptonSite.

So what do we have to look forward to?

The characters that were code-named “Matthew” and “Ethan” – a.k.a. the children of Superman and Lois Lane — are said to be Jonathan and Jordan Kent, if the report is to believed, and we don’t have any reason to think that it’s not for real. The brothers are very different from one another… Jonathan is the popular “all-star athlete type” whereas Jordan is more introverted. Basically, Jonathan is the character we all assumed him to be from the “Matthew” casting information and Jordan is the character that was thought to be Damian Wayne or even Chris Kent, the son of Zod and Ursa who Clark and Lois took in with the comics years ago. (Jordan’s name obviously came from Jor-El, Superman’s Kryptonian father.) The boys don’t know their father is Superman. And they may or may not have powers. It’s The CW, so of course they do. Both boys are 13 years old, which means as they grow this could be another Smallville like story.

Also in the report it is said that as the series starts, Lois Lane still works at the Daily Planet, but Clark has been laid off. Martha Kent is still alive, and living on the farm in Smallville, but Jonathan (Martha’s husband, not the kid) has passed.

General Sam Lane is present and knows about Clark’s alter ego… we wonder out loud if Glenn Morshower will still play the role. Primetimer says Lana Lang is “a big part of the show,” as a banker in Smallville with a husband named Kyle Cushing and two daughters, one of whom is 14 and had tried to kill herself. Kyle doesn’t sound like a great guy either… he’s described as “a drunk.” Whitney Fordman would never…!

Finally, there’s an enemy called only The Stranger, and we find out who he is by pilot’s end. Hmmm….

Thoughts? Come talk about them on our Superman & Lois discussion forum!
