MTV’s Shannara Has A Smallville Pedigree

Tonight (January 5) at 10PM (ET), MTV will be premiering their new fantasy drama The Shannara Chronicles.

Why are we posting about it on KryptonSite?

The show — an adaptation of Terry Brooks’ Shannara book series — comes from Smallville creators Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, and many talents involved with that show — including Gough, Millar, Tim Scanlan, and directors like Brad Turner and James Marshall — are involved with this new project, which also happens to be a coming of age story involving people with great powers.

Since KryptonSite began as THE place for discussing Smallville, we figure some of you might be interested. And, hey, if you’re a fan of the Berlanti-Kreisberg production teams that give us Supergirl, there are a few Arrow veterans in the show’s cast. (Okay, so one of them was “Chase the DJ”… the other was SLADE WILSON who was so great we need to put it in bold caps.)
