Melissa Benoist & Chris Wood Are Expecting

Now we may have a clue as to why Supergirl Season 5 will only be 20 episodes… today brings us the good news that Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood are expecting their first [human] child!

“A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon!!!” Melissa Benoist wrote on Instagram today. “@christophrwood has always been an old dad by nature but now he’s going to be a real one.”

The two of them married last year, and the amount of the color blue in Melissa’s Instagram announcement makes us think that they might be expecting a boy! You can see the Instagram post below.
