Laura Vandervoort Has “Not Heard A Word” About Crisis On Infinite Earths

While Smallville fans are celebrating Tom Welling and Erica Durance returning alongside other classics of DC TV for The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover this Fall, sadly, there may be only one Supergirl (unless, of course, Helen Slater puts on the tights again).

“Every single day I’m getting questions & comments about ‘Crisis Of Infinite Earths’ & how much you all want me [to be] a part of it,” Laura tweeted this morning. “I have not heard a word about it from the show/casting & I think you can all let it rest. Just wanted to let you know. You can move on guys… sorry,” she posted with an emoji showing tears.

Vandervoort is another Smallville alum who would have been interesting to see interacting with her modern-day counterpart… Kyle Gallner also recently shared that he’s not a part of Crisis. Who wouldn’t love a Crisis Supergirl team-up of Laura Vandervoort, Helen Slater, and Melissa Benoist, especially since all three have appeared on Supergirl already? (Slater, though, would have to have the red headband the character wore in the comics).

In any event, maybe and hopefully there’s still time to reach out? You can see the tweet that Laura Vandervoort had made below. And if any of the architects over at the studio are reading this: Can we fix this? To an entire generation, Laura was their first Kara!

  • That's a real shame. She made a great Supergirl. Maybe they are afraid she will upstage Melissa Benoist, especially with her new, horrible, unitard.
