IGN Releases New Supergirl Season 5 Photo & Details

IGN has released a new photo from Supergirl Season 5 that we can add to the photos that we’ve seen so far from the new season, which premieres Sunday, October 6 on The CW. The photo reveals that James (Mehcad Brooks) will be suiting up as Guardian again in the Season 5 premiere, and the IGN piece includes an interview with the Supergirl producers where they talk about a few things we’ve seen them discuss before… but they also tease some things between Kara and Lena this year.

“The relationship between Kara and Lena will take center stage,” Executive Producer Jessica Queller teased regarding the season, which ended with Lena Luthor learning Kara’s true identity. “The fallout from that betrayal is going to be intense. The central question is, will Kara and Lena be able to overcome that betrayal and repair their friendship?”

You can read the entire interview here, and if you’d like to see more photos from the season premiere, you can find them here at KryptonSite. “Event Horizon” airs October 6 on The CW right after the series premiere of Batwoman.
