Hillary Clinton Was Inspiration For Lynda Carter’s Supergirl President

It turns out that Supergirl might have more in common with Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton than just the “Stronger Together” slogan.

Variety caught up with Supergirl Season 2 guest star Lynda Carter, who is playing the President of the United States on Earth-Supergirl, and learned that the former First Lady was an inspiration for Carter’s Presidential role.

“I used Hillary to prepare,” the former Wonder Woman said. “I saw the way she can be warm and funny and inviting and serious.”
