Exclusive: X-Men Actor Daniel Cudmore To Guest on Superman & Lois

A character possibly related to the larger Superman mythos has been cast in a guest role for an upcoming Superman & Lois episode… and he certainly has some genre cred.

KryptonSite has exclusive confirmation from the studio and network that Daniel Cudmore, best known to comic book fans as Colossus, the strongest member of the X-Men team in several films of that franchise, has landed the mysterious role of “Subjekt-11.”

Here’s the official character description:

SUBJEKT-11: Strong and stoic, Subjekt-11 is a brute with a mysterious mission.

We might note that a character known as “Subjekt-17,” a hulking monster kept in a Soviet lab for several decades, was introduced in the Superman #655 comic book by Kurt Busiek, Carlos Pacheco, and Jesus Merino. You can see that character to your left.

KryptonSite cannot confirm which episode the character will be seen in, but clearly, someone in the Superman & Lois-verse is doing some nasty experiments. With characters like Morgan Edge on the table for Season 1, there could be any number of story possibilities.

Born in British Columbia and standing at 6’7,” Daniel Cudmore is also known for his role as Felix, the all-powerful Volturi guard, in the popular Summit Entertainment Twilight franchise. In addition to guest roles in series such as Stargate SG-1, Supernatural, and Psych, he has landed in several other comic book inspired properties, most recently having a recurring role in Marvel’s Helstrom on Hulu.

Superman & Lois won’t be Cudmore’s first Arrowverse appearance, either: He played “Jackhammer” in the Arrow episode “Code of Silence,” Gridlock on The Flash, and the Minotaur on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Superman & Lois premieres Tuesday, February 23 on The CW with a special two-hour event. See the trailer here!
