Calista Flockhart IS Returning To Supergirl In Season 2

As soon as it was announced that Supergirl Season 2 production would be moving to Vancouver, many people wondered what that would mean for one of the highest-profile cast members in the series: Calista Flockhart, who plays Cat Grant. While there have been rumblings and talk here and there of what her future the series might be, nothing had been confirmed… until now.

Thankfully, the studio and network have confirmed that Calista will be in multiple episodes of Season 2 as a recurring guest star, beginning with the Season 2 premiere which airs October 10 on The CW.

“Supergirl wouldn’t be Supergirl without the amazing Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant,” Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement. “We are excited Calista has agreed to continue on the show when she can. We and the audience love to see her on screen.”

Repeats of Supergirl Season 1 begin TONIGHT on The CW if you’d like to see, again, how great Calista was in the role as Cat. You can talk about the show on our KryptonSite forum here.

  • Something tells me that in order for her to continue to be a presence on the show, they are more than likely going to film a majority of her scenes all at once and then spread them out over subsequent episodes, which would make sense considering she now has to split her time between LA and Vancouver.

Still, I'm very glad that she is going to stick with the show.
