Angus MacFadyen Cast As Jor-El In Superman & Lois

ComicBook.com has revealed that Braveheart actor Angus MacFadyen will be playing Superman’s Kryptonian father Jor-El on Superman & Lois. He follows in the footsteps of such greats as Marlon Brando, Russell Crowe, and David Warner and will first appear in the series’ second episode which is called “Heritage.”

Here’s the official description for his character, as revealed to ComicBook:

Jor-El is Clark Kent’s Kryptonian father. Though he died along with Krypton, his brilliant essence still exists within the arctic Fortress of Solitude to provide guidance when his son seeks help.

“Heritage” should be airing March 2 on The CW; the series premieres Tuesday, February 23 with a two-hour event.
