A Smallville Audio Clip Landed In Today’s New Titans Episode

SPOILER WARNING: Details from the most recent episode of Titans titled “Dude, Where’s My Gar?” are being discussed within.

The HBO Max series Titans is always holding on to Smallville.

The April 20 episode saw Beast Boy/Garfield Logan (Ryan Potter, who co-wrote the episode with Geoff Johns) exposed to the Multiverse via “The Red.” From there, Gar sees and hears elements from various DC media over the decades. We see The Flash (Grant Gustin) speeding down a street. A new scene with Stargirl’s Brec Bassinger reprising the role. Glimpses of such series as Swamp Thing and Teen Titans Go! Audio clips from Superman: The Movie, Harley Quinn and Batman 1966. Famed writer Grant Morrison shows up. Oh, and we hear “your fate is utterly binding” – an audio clip from the Smallville episode “Absolute Justice,” also penned by Johns. The line was originally delivered by Doctor Fate, making this… pretty perfect, right?

You can see the clip below, via Arrowverse Scenes. The full episode of Titans titled “Dude, Where’s My Gar?” is now available on HBO Max. Check it out after you watch the Picard finale on Paramount+.
