Searching For Cars In "Velocity"
The upcoming street-racing episode of Smallville (read the spoilers page for more) brought a Smallville crewmember to REVscene.net looking to see if anyone would like to have their souped-up cars on TV. Submissions are now closed, but along the way some details about the episode came up:

• The only car specifically mentioned in the script was a CRX - all the others were still up for decision making at the time of the post.
• The episode sounds basically like "The Fast and the Furious" with the bonus of Kryptonite-tainted NOS.
• They received over 50 submissions - the decisions would be based on the look of the car, what's under the hood, and a couple of other factors, including:
  • Interior space to fit a camera
  • Interior space to fit NOS bottles plus Clark Kent in the trunk
  • The cost of the actual car to build a replica for crash scenes
• Background cars were still being chosen at the time of the post. The scenes are shooting the week of December 8-12.
• The main cars already chosen:
  • A Mustang with a Steeda bodykit
  • Garage Five's Nissan
  • Yellow ITR with JDM front
  • Toyota Celica with ?? bodykit
