Soon To Smallville: The Green
Arrow & Black Canary! KryptonSite
has learned that the eleventh episode
of Smallville 's current season,
scheduled to air in January, will not
only feature the return of Justin Hartley
as Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow, but
that the Justice League superheroine,
the Black Canary, will feature in the
story as well.
The
title of the episode is "Siren."
No
further details are known at this time, aside
from a recent Al Gough interview where he
said that Chloe will be putting her Watchtower
abilities to good use moonlighting for the
Green Arrow. What we do know is that this
episode comes only one week after the episode
"Persona," which features the return
of Brainiac to the mythos!
The
most recent live action version of the Black
Canary was seen in the WB TV seriesBirds
of Prey, where she was played by Lori
Loughlin of Summerland and Full
House fame. One thing that may differ
between Smallville and Birds is
that this Canary will hopefully be wearing
fishnets this time!
In
the comic books, the Green Arrow and Black
Canary have had a long romance, which culminated
in a recent wedding from DC Comics. Unfortunately,
things happened to Oliver around the time
of their honeymoon and in the current Green
Arrow/Black Canary story arc, it's up
to Dinah (the Canary) and Oliver's son, Connor
Hawke, to find and rescue him! Perhaps their
romantic past will be touched upon in this
story... and if it is, we'd hate to know what
Lois thinks!
