We Will Learn “All About Eve” In Upcoming Supergirl Episodes

Andrea Brooks has played Eve Teschmacher on Supergirl since the beginning of The CW run of the show. Originally surely thrown in as a bit of an inside joke, now she is in the role that the character has often played in past productions starting with Richard Donner’s Superman: The Movie — being a helper and co-conspirator with the greatest criminal mind of our time, Lex Luthor, played in Supergirl by Jon Cryer.

And there’s more to come.

“You will get the backstory of how Eve and Lex met and how he has masterminded her as his spy and brilliant helper throughout the time that we have known Eve,” Supergirl Executive Producer Jessica Queller promised in a recent Q&A.

And, yes, there is an episode called “All About Eve” coming on March 31. While the synopsis didn’t reveal much then, the March 17 episode “O Brother Where Art Thou?” surely paved the way for what we expect to be an Eve-centric episode on that night.  Here’s that write-up:

SUPERGIRL FACES HER BIGGEST CHALLENGE YET — Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must deal with the destructive aftermath of Lex’s (guest star Jon Cryer) nefarious plans. Shocked at what Lex has created, Supergirl faces her biggest challenge yet. Ben Bray directed the episode with story by Gabriel Llanas and teleplay by Katie Rose Rogers & Brooke Pohl (#417). Original airdate 3/31/2019.
