Tonight’s Supergirl Premiere Had A Hidden Star Wars Connection

Fans often comb Supergirl for Easter eggs, but there was a very big Star Wars connection in the Season 4 premiere “American Alien” that fans might not have realized or noticed when watching.

In the episode when we first see Agent Liberty, we also see him killing the character Fiona… and it turns out, we’ve seen these two actors in the same production before. You see, before Sam Witwer took on the mask of Agent Liberty, he voiced Darth Maul in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels… and yes, that series explains how it is possible that we saw his character (and heard Sam’s voice) in (spoiler warning!) Solo: A Star Wars Story earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Sabine Wren was a Mandalorian warrior who was a regular cast member of Star Wars: Rebels, and she was voiced by actress Tiya Sarcar.

Tiya Sarcar played Fiona in the Supergirl season premiere.

And thus…. Darth Maul killed Sabine Wren. And it all happened on Supergirl.

Cool, huh?

Our thanks to Super-friend Jon Lee Brody (director of that awesome fan made Supergirl promo) for the tip.
