Tom Welling Signs On For New “Deep Six” Movie Role

Deadline is reporting that Tom Welling (Smallville’s Clark Kent) has signed on for a new movie role.

He will be starring in Deep Six, a movie that is not featuring the G.I. Joe character of the same name, but it’s an action thriller from Death in Texas writer-director Scott Windhauser.

The movie will shoot in Rome beginning in April, and Tom will be playing a character named Terry who is released early from prison only to be forced to go undercover to take down the Cosa Nostra in Italy. On his first day, his fellow six-man undercover unit is taken out. Terry must then ride shotgun all day with a psychopath killer who may know he is working for the police.

Also starring in Deep Six will be Cam Gigandet, Sidhartha Mallya, Cher Cosenza, Al Linea, and Alessia Alciati. Thanks to Andy for the tip!
