Superman & Lois: Why Does “Sharon Powell” Look Familiar?

In the third episode of Superman & Lois titled “The Perks of Not Being A Wallflower,” there is a character who comes to Lois Lane with some information involving Morgan Edge and what he had done in New Carthage. If the actress looks familiar to you, there’s a reason for that: Sharon Powell is played by Jill Teed, best known to Super-fans as the actress who played “Maggie Sawyer” over several seasons of Smallville.

She’s also familiar to genre fans for her role as Bobby Drake’s mother in the second X-Men movie, X2, as she asked “Have you ever tried not being a mutant?” Interestingly enough, Daniel Cudmore who also appeared in X2 is in this episode of Superman & Lois.

The Maggie Sawyer character later resurfaced on Supergirl where she was played by Floriana Lima. You can see a photo of Jill Teed as Maggie Sawyer from Smallville below.
