Superman & Lois Dropped A Lois & Clark Easter Egg This Week

Superman & Lois offered a fun Easter egg reference to Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in the May 23 episode “The Dress.”

In the scene where Lana goes to speak with Lois, you’ll see Lois is reading a book about “Wanda Detroit.” Who is Wanda Detroit, you ask? She was a fictional character, a femme fatale lounge singer from novels… and on L&C, when Lois Lane got cloned and then had amnesia, she thought she was Wanda Detroit! It was not one of the show’s better moments, but if you want to see this string of episodes, start with “I Now Pronounce You” in Season 3, available on Max. We love Teri Hatcher here at KryptonSite, but this was definitely not a fun storyline for her.

Writer and huge fan of all things Superman, Adam Mallinger, wrote the book into the seventh episode of the current season, as he revealed on Twitter, but unfortunately, it was cut. Luckily, it was still on hand as a prop to appear during this week’s show – a novel about none other than Wanda Detroit! Thanks to Adam, you can see a better look at it below.

(Now while we’re on the subject of Easter eggs, why weren’t Lois and Clark at the Kerth Awards?)

New episodes of Superman & Lois air Tuesdays on The CW.
