Superman: Legacy Casts María Gabriela De Faría As The Engineer

Deadly Class actor María Gabriela De Faría has joined the cast of James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film Superman: Legacy. The movie is still currently scheduled to be released on July 11, 2025.

Deadline broke the news of her casting, and they have revealed that she is playing “The Engineer” from the DC/Wildstorm comic book series The Authority. Her character’s powers stem from nanotechnology that’s built into her body.

Superman: Legacy also will star David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho.
