Supergirl Flies To Series At CBS

One worry about next week’s CBS schedule announcements is taken care of: CBS has picked up Supergirl to series.

The pilot, which was directed by Glen Winter and starred Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, is the first new series order to come from CBS this year. Executive Producers for the project include Andrew Kreisberg (Flash), Greg Berlanti (Everything), Sarah Schechter (Flash), and Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family.)

CBS will announce exactly where the show will land on the schedule on Wednesday, May 13. As their schedule is quite packed, it will be interesting to see where they place it…

  • I'm torn. I'm ecstatic that Supergirl is picked up like this, but I really would have preferred that it be on the CW. The ratings required to keep going on CBS are no joke.

  • While I'm happy to hear this, I'm worried it will be on CBS, they are not known for sci fi. They are sitcom and cop shows. I would have thought this show would be better suited for the CW.
