Supergirl & Crossovers: Andrew Kreisberg & Ali Adler Say A Bit More

Yesterday, Super-producer Greg Berlanti seemed to quash rumors of a Supergirl/Flash crossover coming this season… today, Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg and Allison Adler talked about that subject a little bit more, to a room of journalists on the set of Supergirl today.

“I mean, there are always those delirious late nights semi-high on pizza, where you’re like ‘you know what would be really cool if…’?” Kreisberg admits. “But right now, there’s no legitimate, actual plan to, like, bring Cisco [from The Flash] on to Supergirl or bring Winn onto Legends [of Tomorrow]. First of all, we don’t even know if we could, legally… and quite frankly, just making the ‘Arrowverse’ which is what we call Legends, Flash and Arrow work, and then making Supergirl work… it’s enough of a challenge without having to add a fourth player,” he said.

Allison Adler points out a different reason a crossover hasn’t been talked about much yet.

“I think the thing that stops us beyond different networks and a studio that loves us all, is that on those amazing shows, there is no Superman, so that’s our question. In success, as we have often said, we’re happy to examine any of these things,” she says.

So, it sounds like there truly are no plans at this point… you can read more from Andrew Kreisberg, Ali Adler and other Supergirl talents throughout the coming weeks at KryptonSite and our parent site KSiteTV so stay tuned!
