Smallville’s John Glover Plays A Familiar Role In Shazam!

Warning: A spoiler for the upcoming movie Shazam! is being discussed within.

Smallville fans will get an extra treat when they see the new DC Comics based Shazam! in theaters April 5 in the United States.

A number of people have seen early screenings — sadly, not us — but early reviews have been positive, and at least one seen here reveals something that should amuse Smallville fandom greatly: John Glover, who played Lionel Luthor so magnificently in Smallville, plays the father of another bald villain, Dr. Sivana, in the Zachary Levi-starring flick.

Between being the father of Lex Luthor, the dad of Heroes’ Sylar, and now Dr. Sivana, Mr. Glover is making a habit of this sort of thing, isn’t he? Two of those bad guys are even bald! What’s next…. playing the father of Hugo Strange?

These are also not Mr. Glover’s only DC roles. The actor also voiced The Riddler on the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series; he also was Dr. Jason Woodrue in Batman and Robin.

As previously mentioned, Shazam! hits theaters April 5. Come talk about your anticipation for the movie on our forum!
