It was only a matter of time before a cast member from Smallville joined a Marvel series.
Annette O’Toole, who played Clark Kent’s mother Martha with a lot of heart as a series regular for the first six seasons of the Superman prequel before making a few guest appearances later, will be appearing in Season 2 of Marvel’s Punisher series for Netflix.
The news was announced by Deadline this morning. Annette’s character’s husband will be played by Corbin Bernsen. Here’s how Deadline describes their charactrs:
Bernsen is set to play Anderson Schultz, an extremely wealthy man who’s grown accustomed to getting his way. His power and legacy are of prime importance, and he’ll implement less-than-legal means to further those ends. O’Toole will step into the role of the conniving Eliza Schultz, Anderson’s equally manipulative wife.
