SDCC Interview: Supergirl Executive Producer Allison Adler

Allison Adler is a talented writer who has worked on such series as Chuck, No Ordinary Family, and Glee; in 2012 she co-created the much-too-short-lived The New Normal for FOX. Now, she is one of the executive producers of the upcoming CBS adaptation of Supergirl, which premieres Monday, October 26.

We spoke with Ms. Adler at this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, where she spoke about the importance of having a female voice behind a show like this; working with a team that also includes Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Sarah Schechter; possible crossovers; the emotional journeys of characters like Kara, Alex, and even Hank Henshaw; appearances by more Super-veterans like Tom Welling; and a whole lot more, including how involved [or not] Superman will be in the near future.
