No John Williams Superman Score For Crisis On Infinite Earths

While we’ll still hold out hope of hearing Remy Zero’s “Save Me” again in this year’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, there’s one piece of music that we sadly won’t be hearing during The CW’s DC TV event.

When asked by a fan if we would be hearing John Williams’ iconic Superman score during scenes with Brandon Routh’s Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths, as his movie Superman Returns had, Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim responded “I’ve been told we can’t” followed by a sad emoji.

Fans may recall that even Smallville was able to use parts of Williams’ musical score in the series, most notably in “Rosetta” (guest starring Christopher Reeve) and the series finale.

However it sounds, Crisis on Infinite Earths premieres in December on The CW. You can see the series of Tweets below.
