Mon-El Gets Comics-Accurate “Poster” Art

It felt like the X-Men in the year 2000 again when we saw our first look at Christopher Wood‘s Mon-El in costume for Supergirl, wearing all black leather. The distinctive colors of Mon-El from nearly 60 years of comic books seemed to be missing, and a lot of fans were not having it.

What we didn’t know is that Mon-El’s true look was coming to the show soon enough, and sure enough, the new costume is front and center in pictures from next week’s episode of the show, “In Search of Lost Time.”

Recently, The CW tweeted out some updated Mon-El poster art… and now he’s back to the red and blue. We like it! Check it out below, and don’t miss the costume’s debut on the April 23 episode of Supergirl!

Now… more colorful suits for Saturn Girl and Brainiac 5 next, please?

  • I really like the new suit! It’s more comic-accurate, and it’s definitely is in line aesthetically with Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman suit (and Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl suit to a lesser extent). I’m typically a fan of darker superhero suits though, so I was actually a fan of both of Mon-El’s previous suits, and I like Saturn Girl and Brainy’s current suits too!
