Mehcad Brooks Is Jimmy Olsen In Supergirl

Still. Not. Ginger!

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed tonight that Mehcad Brooks (Necessary Roughness, Desperate Housewives) has landed the role of James Olsen in the CBS Supergirl pilot.

(Does his Desperate Housewives past mean he’s shared screen time with a Lois Lane before? It’s likely!)

Here’s how THR describes the character:

Olsen is a photographer at CatCo.,
where Kara works. He’s the 
salt of the earth and this only makes Kara crush on him even more. The character has recently been living and working in National City though the reason is still a secret. As Kara emerges as Supergirl they grow closer.

  • I am glad that Mehcad Brooks was hired for a role in Supergirl. I wish that he got a original name than borrow a name from the Superman comics. I can't wait to see how the writer will fill the gap in his character background.
