Dean Cain on
"Just Shoot Me"
Dean Cain will be appearing on NBC's "Just Shoot Me" on
Thursday, May 3 as Maya's one night stand. (Wow, Dean's playing a
straight guy!) The episode airs at 9:30PM (ET) on NBC. Thanks to
Russ Dimino for passing this along.
Superman Movies On DVD May 1!
After
virtual years of waiting, it seems that Warner Brothers is
*finally* going to release the Superman movies (which starred
Christopher Reeve) to DVD on Tuesday, May 1, 2001.
The first movie will of course
have loads of extras, including the following:
* Previously Unseen Footage Added by Director Richard Donner!
* 4 Behind-The-Scenes Documentaries: Special Effects, Production
and Release, Casting, Pre-Production
* Feature-Length Audio Commentary by Donner and Creative
Consultant Tom Mankiewicz
* Deleted Scenes (perhaps including the scenes shown on ABC in
the early 80's?)
* Audio Outtakes: Alternate Dialogue and Scoring for 8 Sequences
* Music-Only Audio Track (Dolby 5.1) Showcasing John Williams`
Magnificent Score
Web-Enabled
* 2 Original Theatrical Trailers
* Cast/Director Film Highlights
Then,
Warner Bros. is also releasing *all four*
Superman movies as a low-priced (well for now, with discounts)
set.
You can order these
through Amazon.com and get me some credit to help
pay for my car (heheh, still so shameless...) but you'll also get
a discount at the same time. Here's where to click for them:
And of course the Supergirl movie is also still available on DVD; but be warned, the extras on the DVD are far better than the actual movie.
Teri
Joins Fall 2001 CBS Pilot
Four years after "Lois & Clark," Teri Hatcher will
soon possibly be returning to weekly television. Teri has joined
the cast of a TV comedy pilot titled "Say Uncle" for
CBS. The show will be about a gay man who is suddenly made the
guardian of two teenagers.
Teri will play the co-anchor to Ken Olin's main character on
"a highly rated entertainment newsmagazine." Her
character is described as a "manipulative schemer."
We'll let you know if this lands on the Fall schedule.
Teri has also signed to appear in an indepedent film called
"The Chester Story" soon after shooting is finished for
"Say Uncle"'s pilot.
"Broken
Hearts Club" Now On DVD
"The Broken
Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy," the 2000 movie
starring Dean Cain as a member of a gay baseball league, was
released to DVD on March 6, 2002. Amazon.com still
has it available to order, so if you click on this link you should be
able to order the movie and help Craig get some commission to pay
for his new car. (Shameless, isn't it?) It's a good movie, but
the subject content may be unsuitable for younger viewers.
Tempus
Goes To The "Hospital"
It is rumored that Lane Davies, who played the popular villain
"Tempus" in several episodes of "Lois &
Clark," is close to signing to become a new regular on the
soap opera "General Hospital." Lane will be playing a
doctor, and he will be reunited with former "Santa
Barbara" castmate Nancy Lee Grahn. What *is* known for sure
is that Lane has visited the set and has met with the producer.
