Krypton Season 2 Will Introduce Lobo

Another big DC icon is coming to Krypton for Season 2.

At today’s Krypton panel at the Comic-Con International in San Diego, news broke that the second season will introduce the character Lobo. Most popular in the 1990’s comics, the character first appeared a decade earlier in the Omega Men comic book series. There had been talk multiple times of a Lobo movie, but this is the first time that we are aware of that the character will be seen in live action.

No casting has been announced, but here is how they describe it:

Lobo is from the peaceful planet of Czarnia, born a devil in the midst of utopia. Loosely translated from his native language, his name means “he who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it.” As a teenager, he single-handedly slaughtered his entire civilization, becoming the last of his race. Now the mercenary roams the universe on his motorcycle, getting paid for what he loves most—murder and mayhem.

Also at the panel, producers teased more character deaths and trips to other planets and places beyond Kandor. More of Brainiac’s backstory will also be explored. And in other news, Adam Strange’s people will be introduced, and we may see the origins of “Nightwing and FLamebird.” No, not that Nightwing.

Krypton Season 2 will premiere in 2019 on Syfy. You can see an awesome teaser from today’s convention below.
