Kristin Kreuk Lands A New TV Series

Once of the best parts of having four seasons of Beauty and the Beast on The CW was that it brought back Smallville’s “Lana Lang,” Kristin Kreuk, to our TV screens.

Well… we have some good news coming courtesy of TV Line: Kristin is coming back to TV!

Kristin will be starring in a small-town legal drama which currently doesn’t have a title. It will be shooting in Winnipeg, Canada and it comes from Rookie Blue’s Brad Simpson. The show has been ordered straight to series, with a ten-episode order for the Canadian broadcaster CBC.

No word yet on when it’ll hit the United States.

Kristin isn’t the first Smallville star to have her own show originating from Canada. While they aired on U.S. cable networks, Saving Hope starring Erica Durance (Lois Lane) and Michael Shanks (Hawkman) lasted for several years, as did Laura Vandervoort (Kara)’s series Bitten. Hopefully we’ll have news on a U.S. release soon.
