Kneel Before Lyta Zod: Georgina Campbell Cast In Krypton

Deadline is reporting that British actress and BAFTA winner Georgina Campbell (After Hours) has been cast as the female lead in Syfy’s Krypton pilot.

Campbell’s Lyta Zod is a member of Krypton’s military caste and the daughter of a general — that would be Superman’s future nemesis, General Zod, Lyta Zod serves as a cadet — and has also been having a clandestine, forbidden romance with Seg-El (not cast yet).

Krypton tells the tale of Superman’s grandfather Seg-El two generations before the destruction of the planet. In it, the House of El is ostracized and shamed, as Seg-El fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Right now, a pilot is happening for hopeful inclusion on Syfy’s lineup.
