Is DC Looking To Make A New Supergirl Series?

Normally we try not to hop on rumors, but if this one pans out, it could be pretty cool…

Rich Johnston’s Bleeding Cool website is running the rumor that DC Entertainment is actively looking into pitching a Supergirl TV series, with writer Michael Green attached.

Green actually worked on Smallville in the very early days, and is currently attached to the adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, which might put a brake on this rumor. He’s written for the Supergirl comic, and wrote the screenplay for Green Lantern. His credits include Gotham but it’s not the upcoming Batman series, but instead a project with the same name.
